We offer a variety of swim lessons to fit your needs. From 6 months old through adults, we have something for everyone!
Parent/Child Lessons (Ages 6-36 months)
This is an introduction to the aquatic environment for parents and their infants. Parents are encouraged to help develop appropriate expectations for their child’s performance in the water and as class participants. Children learn basic water skills through songs and games, while having fun playing with toys and using flotation devices.
Preschool/Pike (Ages 3-5)
This level helps children develop safe pool behavior, adjust to the water and develop independent movement in the water. It is designed for new swimmers, teaching basic paddle stroke and kicking skills, pool safety, comfort when blowing bubbles and swimming with noodles and a large float belt.
Designed for the school-age beginner who has little or no swimming experience. Emphasis is placed on water adjustment, kicking on front and back, basic paddle stroke, floating on front and back, basic backstroke and pool safety.
This level is for the school-age advanced beginner that can swim 15 feet on their own but need to work on their freestyle technique. Rotary breathing will be introduced, as well as a more advanced technique for freestyle and elementary backstroke. participants will work on floating on front and back, treading water, deep water swimming, pool safety and introduction to diving.
For children who can already swim one length of the pool with freestyle, backstroke, sidestroke and breststroke. Proper rotary breathing technique will be stressed and participants will be introduced to butterfly in addition to refining all strokes.
Flying Fish is for children who can already swim 100 yards of freestyle and 50 yards of backstroke and breaststroke. Flying Fish is designed as a swim team preparatory class. Students will focus on technique and endurance for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Continued work on elementary backstroke, pool safety, treading water, deep water swimming and diving.
This class is for the advanced swimmer interested in preparation for swim team. participant should be able to swim 150 yards freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and 50 yards butterfly. There will be a strong emphasis on technique and endurance for I.M. strokes. The class will include improvement on competitive starts, turns, and race preparation.
