We offer a variety of swim lessons to fit your needs. From 6 months old through adults, we have something for everyone!
DISCOVERY A (Ages 6-34 months)
A fun water adjustment class for parent-child teams to socialize and have fun together. Instructors work with you to teach your child basic water skills and safety through songs, games and repetition.
DISCOVERY B (Ages 18-36 months)
The intermediate parent-child class of swim and safety helps your child build on their swimming skills, learn to swim with their face in the water and become more comfortable on their back. Your child should be able to swim horizontally with a small cube and without arm floatation.
PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS (Ages 3-5 years)
This is a child’s first experience in the pool without parental assistance. Children are taught the basic skills that are the building blocks of swimming. They also learn about pool safety and the use of personal floatation devises. Class ratio if five participants to one instructor.
PRESCHOOL STAGE 1
This class leads your child in their first steps toward independence in the water. To swim with their face in the water and become more comfortable on their back. Instructors creatively teach beginning swim and safety skills, in a caring and safe environment without the parent/guardian.
PRESCHOOL STAGE 2
This advanced class for preschoolers, instructors teach your child skills in stroke development and floating. Child should be able to swim part of the class without floatation. This level is for those of preschool age that are able to jump in and return to the wall unassisted and swim 5-10 feet.
SCHOOLAGE SWIM LESSONS (Ages 6-13)
Each skill level builds upon the preceding one. Class ratio is 7 participants to one instructor. Classes are 45 minutes in length.
SCHOOLAGE STAGE 1
This class guilds your child through beginning skills including floating, water safety, introduction to rotary breathing and swimming on their back. Floatation devices are used as needed.
SCHOOLAGE STAGE 2
This class builds upon the skills learned in Level 1. Instructors help swimmers master the front crawl. Teach the importance of proper body alignment and introduce the back crawl.
SCHOOLAGE STAGE 3
Students in stage 3 work on stroke technique and learn all major competitive strokes. The emphasis on water safety continues through treading water and side stroke.
SCHOOLAGE STAGE 4
This advanced level class will take children through the mastery of the breaststroke and butterfly, emphasizing endurance, fitness, and pre-swim team skills. Safety, including an introduction to lifesaving will also be taught.
